Those of us who grew up in the 1970s culture of muscle cars and motorcycles will relate to the episodes of moto-craziness and find it hard not to grin at the mostly harmless hooliganism of the era.
The second half of this book is filled with colorful stories inspired by riding and wrenching those fun-filled hot rods of the two-wheeled variety. In these stories, Kirk not only relates his experience with the mechanical challenges of motorcycles, but also describes the great rewards granted to those who are luckyenough to ride them.

I had a good time with this book. It reminded me of growing up around cars. My friends and I took a similar path.I want to start putting my car back together but then I would have to stop playing with all the project bikes.

Book started out good and went downhill. I did not like names and pet names of cars or motorcycles. The car portion was way better than motorcycle.
The first part of the book was great,stories about the authors early life and mechanical adventures.The second part was just a bunch of silly,pointless rambling about riding around on his motorcycle,hiding from his wife.
Just got done reading this book, and I have to say well done. Very well thought out, well written and overall a very enjoyable read.
